Brownie Batter Overnight Oats

Ingredients Needed In Brownie Overnight Oats
old oats - rolled oats are best for oats at night. Fast / quick oats and steel cut oats do not work the same way because they are not as harmful to liquids as they are to oatmeal.
almond milk - I like to use unsweetened almond milk with vanilla, but any type of milk will work
protein powder - I use chocolate powder in a plant infused with sugar with stevia, but you can use your favorite protein powder.
cocoa powder - this gives the oats its rich chocolate flavor and dark color
maple syrup - pure maple syrup is a perfect natural sweetener that you can use because it is a liquid so it blends well with oatmeal and I personally love the taste. Honey or another natural liquid drink will work here. If you want to reduce sugar in this recipe, feel free to use another form of sugar like stevia or monk fruit
vanilla
sea salt - a pinch of sea salt is a perfect flavor enhancer and enhances the nutty taste of oats.
chocolate chips - I like to use Lily's dark chocolate chips because they are sugar-free and low in carbs
chopped walnuts - very good brownies with walnuts and I love the crunch they add to these oats at night.
Peanut Butter - I love peanut butter in these oats, but any peanut butter you like can work in this recipe.
How Long Does a Night Oats Need to Be Soaked?
Given the name, you may think that oats at night need to be soaked at night, but you can make them in 2-4 hours when you run. Although it takes time for oats to absorb the liquid, it does not need to be soaked overnight. I recommend at least 8 hours with real night oats, but it was in the morning that I decided I wanted oats at night to eat breakfast even though I hadn’t prepared them the day before. If this happens, I will make them in the morning and let the oats soak for only 2-4 hours. With this quick immersion, they are not as soft as the late-night oats and have more liquid, but they are still delicious.
Can You Eat Hot Oats For The Night?
Short answer, yes! You can warm the oats overnight, but the whole point of oats at night is to eat them as cold as muesli. Even if you think cold oats sounds weird, I recommend you shoot it before you write it. Of course, as long as you can make cold oats you can always burn them. Just put the oat overnights in your microwave, cook in 30 increments until the oats are warm and enjoy.
After allowing your night oats to soak overnight (or at least a few hours), remove the oats from the fridge and top with slices of banana and cocoo nibs.
While enjoying these you will feel like you are crazy about eating chocolate in the morning (and you love it because there are chocolate chips involved) BUT healthy things are definitely better than chocolate. And chocolate has some health benefits of its own. <- I'm about antioxidants… especially those from chocolate and wine.

- 1 cup old folded oats
- 2 cups protein powder, vanilla or chocolate
- 2 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- a pinch of salt in the sea
- 2 tablespoons chocolate chips, I use dark chocolate chips Lily
- 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
- 1 tablespoon peanut butter, optional

Put oats, protein powder, almond milk, cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla and sea salt in a bowl or pot. Stir well to combine, until all the protein powder has dissolved. Cover the container with a lid and refrigerate overnight.
Remove the dish from the fridge the next morning and stir in the mixture. You will notice that oats lubricate a lot of liquid so you want to add a little almond milk before serving.
Half of the oats overnight are two containers, top each with chocolate chips, chopped walnuts and peanut butter, if you use. Enjoy.
