It all started in Germany in 1985 when scientist Herbert Trouille made a unique protein powder with a few key ingredients: natural soy protein, skim milk yogurt powder, and honey (by the way, gluten-free and no sweeteners made.). Trouille's belief was that you should not starve to lose weight and that by eating this particular type of protein, you would kick your metabolism into top gear.


What is an Almased Diet?

The Almased diet aims to help people lose weight using Almased, low-glycemic high-protein replacement and dietary supplements. The high-protein formula is created from different sources to match the profile of the amino acids that the human body needs to function properly.1

Thanks to its special fermentation process, the powder causes bioactive peptides to be released into the body, which is said to help you lose weight. "This powder contains essential nutrients, such as essential enzymes and amino acids, that your body needs most to make digestion easier," said Charushila Biswas, an ISSA Certified nutritionist.


The four-phase food system incorporates Almased powder into action as a food exchange. Stages start to get stronger, and gradually become a way of life when movement is accompanied by clean food. But beware: The diet plan is not for those who cannot follow a strict schedule.


Benefits of Almased Food

According to Amy Shapiro, a registered nutritionist and founder of Real Nutrition NYC, another advantage of the Almased Diet is that its instructions are clear. He says: “There are no gray areas. "It's easy to follow, and the work of preparing and buying food is declining." Also, if you can stick to a solid plan, you will probably see immediate results. Cons of the Almased Diet

One of the major problems with the Almased Diet, notes Shapiro, is that the ingredients in the shake are highly processed. "Their protein is derived from soy protein isolate, which is a highly processed and broken type of soy that does not provide the same health benefits of the soy plant," he explains. Additionally, shakes also contain 15 grams of extra sugar and one gram of fat. "Fat helps keep us full and helps absorb soluble vitamins," says Shapiro. Phase 1: Phase 1


Almased shakes per day: 3 (breakfast, lunch, and dinner: Add protein powder to low-fat milk or soy milk and add flaxseed powder.)
